Sococo is an online application that connects remote workers by recreating the personal proximity and functionality of a physical office. It is different from other remote collaboration applications such as Skype, Google Hangouts, etc. in the way of providing a visual map that encourages connection, both through spontaneous interaction and formal meetings. While the desktop web application was successful and has gotten a broad acceptance of use by large companies, the mobile application was not as highly rated. During my time at Lextech, we helped the Sococo product team establish the goals for the mobile application and focus on their user base. It was done through a two-day on-site design workshop.
